Why Shop At DIYShadeSails.com?
DIYShadesails.com is the do-it-yourself source for shade sails, shade structures, lace-on shade panels and shade hardware.
We take the guesswork out of tensioned fabric projects with our how-to videos, design checklists and our line of top quality installation hardware.
Our shade products fit both residential and commercial needs. Homeowners install our shade over patios, swimming pools, play areas, basically any outdoor space that needs shade. We also sell to contractors who install shade for their clients at schools, restaurants, daycare facilities, resorts and employee break areas.
Our sewing techniques have been developed over the last 20 years. The stress points are all reinforced with time proven designs to provide long life without looking bulky. We only use Tenara thread which is guaranteed to last as long as the fabric. Tenara thread is expensive but well worth it when compared to standard awning thread that deteriorates within a few years.
Our marine grade 316 stainless steel hardware has been field tested and chosen as the best choice for each application. We give our recommendation for when and where to use each item, along with a how-to video showing how the item is installed and used.
We have several checklists to make sure every important detail is taken into consideration. There is a design checklist to help plan your project and an installation checklist outlining our recommended procedures. We also list common problems and how to avoid them.
If you are still not sure about tackling a shade sail project then check out our design service. We will take your photos, siteplans or drawings and translate them into 3-d computer models. You will be able to see how the project will look from any angle. You will also get a shade study showing where the shade is cast at different times of day. You can use the drawings to select the final layout or for any approvals that might be needed.
As with any construction project you must follow local building codes. Our products will meet these requirements but it is up to you to install them properly. If you have any questions it is best to consult with a local engineer or contractor.
We want to make it easy for you to do business with us. We don’t carry any product that we wouldn’t be proud to sell to a friend or family. Our warranty is the best in the business and we make most items right here in the USA. If you have any questions please send us an email. Include some photos or drawings of your project if you like. We will answer your questions and help point you in the right direction.
